cash as a criminal enterprise

a few months ago someone stole my debit card numbers from some woefully unprotected website data breach and began making unauthorized charges against my checking account...i disputed the charges, got a provisional refund ( which became permanent when the "investigation" corroborated by disputation ) and i got a new card with new numbers...at this point i basically reverted to a cash economy...i would use my card only on a few chosen sites which have at least passable security and patronized the atm at my institution when i was making local purchases ( groceries, gasoline, etc )...for reasons which are and will remain entirely my own, i pulled a small amount of cash out of an account to deposit in a checking account at another bank...we are not talking thousands of dollars here...not even close...amount seems to have little bearing in this story however...i went to the bank i n question to make the deposit and the teller said. " i will need your id for the cash deposit please"...what? wait...i have to identify myself to make a cash deposit? ( beyond the necessary deposit slip i mean )...since when...admittedly i have had direct deposit of wages and i have been depositing paper checks and not much in the way of cash, however when did this level of surveillance become the standard procedure? i have no doubt this is to monitor money laundering...the scum in government are venal. corrupt, and make their actions legal through legislation, not ethics...so it is natural they, in their egomania and self-absorption, would presume everyone else is up to criminal no good...what's good for the kleptocrats is a reflection of the general public, right? this is why, when i take my water bill and the exact change in cash to city hall the clerk checks every twenty to be sure i am not pulling a fast one on the municipality...given the recent ethical and legal history of city hall here this is both insulting and fucking laughable at the same instant...so i am being surveilled on multiple levels by multiple entities from...facebook to the nsa...and, no doubt, there is at least a remote possibility something beyond a robot may scan this post because i used the words "criminal" and "kleptocrats" as well as "money laundering" and "surveillance"...just to be sure..let me say trump is the biggest ( and most unstable ) crook in the swamp that is whoretown..and let me post this:

i have read a few pieces around the interweb and in the n y times about the relentless pro-party propaganda that inundates the people of china...and how the police are using smart glasses with facial recognition capability to finger "suspects" ( i would read "dissidents" there...thoughtcrime...a favorite of enforcement officials and authoritarian politicians everywhere...from beijing to swamptown )...but here in the egalitarian and freedom loving west we are unvexed by these machinations...right? i have my doubts ( which, incidentally, is how you know it is actually me and not some fucking hacker writing this )...the newspapers arrive while i was out and i have seen serious flaws in the whole "freedom" thing...

the editorial boards ( read advertisers...the media do not want to fuck up the revenue stream by offending the source...so let the advertisers have a large say in content ) have been busy forming my opinions for me and packaging them in a form i pay to receive...quite the system...i pay to be bludgeoned by institutional opinion...or is it that i am researching what the want me to think...opinion varies...i know what i think...and they know what they would like me to think...

the feminist icon and trend setter judy chicago ( "the oracle of feminist art-and the culture that finally caught up to her" ) has made the glossy cover of "T" magazine in the n y times...alas..it is the "women's fashion issue"...

which is chock full of glossy $107,000 ads presenting what the well heeled and chic feminist should be wearing as she asserts herself...the n y times cares about women almost as much as they care about me...but propaganda isn't confined to media ( or..media isn't confined to print or electronics...where the fuck did i put macluhan? )

here is a stunning photo i took this morning of dawn over the junction of indiana routes 6, 53, and 130...we are overwhelmed with propaganda everywhere we go to the extent that we do not even recognize it as such..it's just part of the scenery...and if you look closely just tot he left of the billboard above the route signs, you can se one of the surveillance cameras at the intersection...china got nothing on us.

with a kicker on the back to make sure that adrenaline rush of fear ( greatest marketing tool ever! ) grabs hold as tightly as the marketer wants it to be...impelling the purchase...from more to orwell with stalin and hitler's paranoia thrown in, authoritarians and oligarch have always been obsessed with what "the mob" is up to and what they're thinking...it's the source of more's love for the communal...the catholic church's and every secular religion you care to name as well...the 1% are oligarchs and no exception tot his..the want public and private surveillance and orwell's telescreens are not long off ( i am using one of the grates surveillance tools the elites possess at the moment...google is eating this stuff up and laughing all the way to the bank...facebook too..just so we know i am alert to this...i am not feeling naive today )...they need to know...fortunately the are not all that good at understanding the non-linearity of causality..oh they say they do but in their heart of hearts they think they "know" where human history is heading and that they can control it...this is nonsense..human cognition is limited and we are in the environment...part of it...not external as the self-absorbed wealthy and their lackey economists would tell us..they can watch us..we watch as well..and the planet will have the final say.
