whorespeak

"both parties are planning legislative maneuvers this week to try to caricature their opponents as either in the pockets of the oil companies or hostile to domestic energy production. the debate may generate a fair ammount of noise that provides one side or the other with a temporary political advantage but is unlikely to have an apperciable impact on gasoline prices."
n y times 4-30-2011

"every time an american has to shell out $60 or $80 to fill their tanks they mutter under their breaths about government. it puts pressure on congress and the white house to do something. but it is just howling at the moon. the basic laws of supply and demand have n't changed."
byron l dorgan
chair of the energy project
bi-partisan policy center

imagine my surprise...while the whores bark, howl, or, better yet, quack at each other ( orwell's concept of "duckspeak" fits the mode of public political debate in the late empire...thanks eric) about culpability in the disintegration of the economy, oil company apologists are telling us to suck it up and keep the pumps flowing and the credit card companies flush with the ensuing debt peonage...the ponzi scheme that is the second republic ( although of late i have been mulling over the possibility of the third republic based on the overt, public sea change in the way the people view government in the wake of the criminality of the nixon adminstration and the perceptions of the voting public held by the ruling elite since the "regan revolution' so forcefully reinforced hamiltonian precepts of the basic unfitness of the population at large to do much more than serve the interests of that elite and learn to like it) is in serious shit folks...they don't have a clue really and in their desperation they are turning to academic economists and the slugs from business schools across the country...so desperate that they are willing to listen to any crackbrained scheme anyone with a few academic credentials has to offer...i have said before and am saying again that they are pretty much finished as far as constructive ideas go...it's time to create an alternative independent of the exiisting political institutions that actually serves the needs of people, not artificial corporate entities...it's an idea that won't sit well with anyone with a vested interest in things as they were before the recent collapse...but that past is as dead as cheney's ethics...time to let go and move on...people are smart, resourceful, adaptive animals that can work out survival strategies indepenent of abstract authority...it will be a long slog to get out of the cultural trap sprung by industrial capitalism and all the bullshit rationalizations it has fashioned into a secular religion and called consumerism...it can be done...unplug the tv and start to think.

state and national afl-cio

"all workers, whether we're immigrants or native-born, and whether we work for a government or a private company, are unfairly asked to bear the brunt of problems brought on by corporate greed."
manny hermann of the afl-cio in a mass emailing to (i assume) union members

in a startling turn of events the national office of the afl-cio has seemingly realized that they need the support of a broader community and therefore must take steps to actually become part of one...not your dad's union philosphy based on jurisidiction and a set of rules as arcane as anything the masons could come up with...it may be a bit on the late side ( and as another ironic note gmail put ads for rand paul's right to work petition and an ad in support of the uber-whore walker of wisconsin in the margin next to the text of the message...who says google doesn't have a finely honed sense of humor )but it's nice to see someone at the national level has pulled their head out of their ass, even if it's just in time to see the fucking implosion...and as much as i may agree with the expressed sentiment it's obvious that word apparently hasn't trickled down to the indiana afl-cio though...seven out of the last ten emails they've sent me are imploring me to contact my state senator to ask them to vote against hb1216 which will emasculate the common construction wage act, which says that any worker employed on a construction job contracted by the state or a local government will be paid the same wage as a union worker from indiana would be, the idea being that local union workers would be hired over out-of-state labor to keep tax dollars in the state...budget hawks hate that shit...they are also social darwinists who hate working people because the rich bastards that have purchased them have told them that is the thing to do...all this is about from the state afl-cio's viewpoint is keeping unions and their officers and agents in business, since they really don't give a rat's ass about workers except as a source of cash flow ( we have been through the whole af of l , john r. commons "business unionism" thing before) clearly the national office doesn't have a clue what the state office is doing...or they are running interference to make me think that they care...whatever it is it is lame bullshit and entirely too late...the rollback aimed at unions and the wagner act started before fdr's signature on the bill was dry, gained a lot of momentum under the criminal nixon and the most republican of democratic presidents in recent history who is in north korea now playing at statesman...the gipper put the finishing touches on it, and we find ourselves with the lowest per capitia union membership since, probably, 1920...the most organized sector in the country are public workers..it's no mistake that state and local governemnt employees and their unions are the target of the budget hawks' rage...bust them and unions are pretty much dead...i am a dinosaur and wisconsin is the impact crater ( except that rat bastard daniels did it here first)...

i missed the royal wedding...can anyone tell me what happened? i mean did she actually marry into that zoo of a family or did chuck's ears flapping in the spring breeze give her pause to ponder devil genentics? only the aristocracy or the clintons could get away with this.

oil $113+ a barrel...my thirty bucks bought 6.728 gallons of 89 octane gasoline...what recover was that again?

i just read an article online that expressed a hope that a william and kate reign would bring a "more populist" monarchy to england...huh? what could possibly be "populist" about a king and queen and the aristocracy that goes with it? a little less ostentatious in their expressions of conspicuous consumption? no royal infidelities? a kate and bill refigerator in every kitchen and a pint in every fist? how long is this bullshit wedding hangover going to last?...any american citizen who went to london for this should have their passport revoked and anyone who actually got up specifically to watch it live should be subject to a severe irs audit with a tsa grope thrown in as a further insult... this frenzy about those moronic hats and who wore what to where is taking on a worrisome tone...what would old alex hamilton think?

what class warfare? (obviousman II)

"the federal reserve experimental effort to spur a recovery (ha!) by purchasing vast quantities of federal debt has pumped up the stock market, lowered the cost of american exports, and allowed companies to borrow money at lower interest rates. but most americans are not feeling the difference, in part because those benifits are suprisingly small."
n y times 4-24-2011

surprisingly? most americans not feeling warm and fuzzy? well...ponzi schemes and upward redistributions of wealth don't usually aim to please joe taxpayer...just the arrogant fucks at goldman-sachs and the whores in government who pander to their avarice...yes we are ruled by absolute criminal shits...always have been and proabaly always will (hamilton wanted it that way)...from the corrupt water commisioner down the block who routinely undercuts health standards to make his boat payment to whatever skank happens to live on pennsylvania avenue...not to mention the snake-pit behavioral sink under the dome of the national bagnio...they're all turning a buck on the national treasury ( which is why i sent a check again this year...have i mentioned that? get used to it...i see a leitmotif developing)...so bernake has figured out a low-life scam to agrandize his old cronies by overpaying them to buy back treasury bills they sold to someone else...nice work if you can get it...so what social programs can the tea party fools( or, perhaps, just unindicted co-conspiritors) cut next year to keep the con going? if they want to keep their jobs they'll need to find something...just don't fuck with the pentagon or the defense contractors soaking up billions from imperial adventurism...rome wasn't like this but it might as well have been...vicious cruel imperial thugs with no scruples or mercy...all they needed was thermonuclear weapons...they overextended themselves too....visigoths coming to a corner near you soon...it's difficult to decide which would be worse...thugs armed with legislation and bureaucratic policy or just armed thugs...either way it might be time to bury what valuables you have left in the back yard.

where's obviousman when you need him?

"amid rising gas prices, stubborn unemployment, and a cacophonous debate in washington over the federal government's ability to meet its future obligations, the poll presents stark evidence that the slow, if unsteady, gains in public confidence earlier this year that a recovery was underway are now all but gone."
n y times 4-22-2011

only because the bullshit propaganda presented by the cadre of whores in whoretown and their stenographers in the media has holes big enough to put an oil rig through in it...there is no recovery and there never was one...all smoke and mirrors...cooked books and sleight of hand financial manipulations designed to lull an electorate into thinking there was a plan...or that anyone in whoretown even really cared about the street for that matter...it looked like it might have been the biggest propaganda coup since dr. goebbles declared "total war" on the reich's enemies in 1943 when it was already too late to do anything but contemplate suicide...but the price of a barrel of oil combined with the imminent collpase of the dollar put paid to that...how much longer are we going to subject ourselves to this? the hamiltoniian second republic doesn't give a shit about its lower case citizens except as a tax base to vote themselves raises and their handlers massive subsidies ( which is why i have , once again, mailed the feds a check...how much income tax did fucking bp/ammoco pay?)...FUCK THESE PEOPLE...it is time to develop a shadow government that actually adddresses the needs of the people outside constitutional channels that agrandize the status quo...the empire is all but dead people...broke and unwiilling to admit that its hubris and imperial adventurism are the cause...they have no interest in our needs and anyone who thinks the tea party is a populist movement bent on reforming federal government is in serous need of psychotropic theraphy with the new class of opiates being pateneted as we speak by roche pharmaceuticals as part of an experimental mind control program over at fox news...the clusterfuck is just getting started folks...time to admit the system is bankrupt (financially and ethically),end the imperial foolishness, break up into regionally governed banana republics, learn to live locally, and let brics have their turn at running things...we can become another great brittan with puerto rico as our northern ireland.

rome is beautiful in the spring

"in washington the republican proposal recently sketched out by representative paul d. ryan of wisconsin calls for broad and significant cuts in social spending, including medicare and medicaid, and wide ranging tax cuts."

"on wednesday president obama called for a more balanced approach, one he said would combine some tax increases for the wealthy with selective cuts in spending he said would not break the ' basic social contract' of programs like medicare and medicaid."

"welcome to divided government."
john boehner
n y times 4-15-2011

as the ramshackle machinery of the busted empire coughs and wheezes its way into the deepening gloom of the new century the whores in whoretown are desperate to save their handlers fortunes and their phony jobs overseeing the ponzi scheme that is hamiltonian government by special interest...they are not so much divided by what they want as how to go about achieving it....the continued upward redistribution of wealth to financial institutions, meant mostly to preserve the position of finacial well being of the share holders of those institutions (read wealth) is the core of the agenda...it is simply that one side of the debate is contnent to be much more brazen about the heist than the other...sociopaths versus the merely ethically challenged...caligula versus tiberius...republican versus democrat...it's time to break out the high pressure hoses and flush these clowns into the potomac with the rest of the turds.

as a sidelight on economic growth oil is $108 a barrel at the moment and my $22 bought 5.515 gallons of 89 octane gasoline...so much for "growth"...the only way for the wealthy to remain so is to extract what little we have left...time for a real alternative instead of the drug addled 60s version...the pyramid cannot stand without the base...read "Deposition: Testimony Concerning a Sickness" by william s. burroughs sometime....somewhat different subject ( though closely realted to consumerism) but the same concept...addiction is addiction.

4-16-2011

as i went to the bank to move money around to cover the check i wrote to the feds for taxes i noticed that 89 octane gasoline at the corner station went up thirty cents a gallon since i bought gasoline yesterday...oil is trading at $109+ a barrel...don't bite on the economic recovery euphemism just yet

social spending, the national bagnio, and you

"we are not going to roll over and sell out the american people..."
john boehner

oh john you miserable, scumsucking, lying whore...when you are riven in two by wrathful thunderbolts from a harsh but fair diety i will say "i told you so "...you and your cadre of social darwinst neo-nazi freaks and your even more remarkable groups of handlers stuck to your guns and in the face of a shutdown of a federal governemnt that is only marginally effective in even the best of times and you managed to trim a whopping $38.5 billion in federal spending...no-one seems to be prepared to say exactly what was cut...but judging by the president's remark about them being "painful" and your completely demented worldview i can intuit that they are basically cuts in social spending badly needed by the poorest among us that you fucking well insisted on because you inceredibly arrogant shits hope that "the economy is improving" because if it isn't you are all fucked...a few numbers john before i post this and call you an ignorant, biased, prejudiced, bigoted horse's abortion for anyone who cares to read it...oil is $113 + a barrel and gasoline is approaching $4 a gallon which it will surpass soon...so much for economic growth...the national debt clock is spinning pretty quickly so these numbers are already stale but have a look anyway john...the national gdp is $14,659,942,000,000...that's alot...no doubt...the national debt is $14,282,388,000,000...that's alot too john...almost as much as this clapped out empire is worth...the federal reserve has created $2.4 trillion in money and continues to do so as fast as their electrons can flow...$4.7 trillion of that national debt is in foreign hands...so much for independent foreign policy...but that's okay...it basically boils down to supporting the authoritarian governments that hold the debt anyway...the federal deficit is $1,344,677,000,000...and all you miserable sods can do is trim $38.5 billion in chump change mostly intended to ease the burden of taxpayers who find themselves in difficulties...the only good thing about the clusterfuck in congress is it will speed a palin presidency and the demise of what little credibility you morons ever had...speaking as a worker, a tax payer, and a union memeber i'd like to say fuck you and all your miserable inbred generations john...if washington dc slid off into the nearest estuary with the loss of all hands the world would be a better place...how much longer before the lake of fire?

what's fact, what's hired bullshit?

"the u s economy added 216,000 jobs in march, the labor department said, and the unemployment rate fell another jot to 8.8 percent."
n y times 4-1-2011

"according to labor department projections, fewer than thirteen percent of jobs to be created by 2018 will meet the economic threshold for single parents of two kids. forty-three percent of jobs will meet the threshold for two income families. in other words, most of the jobs of the future aren't likely to pay enough to offer the kind of stable,middle-class existence that for most of the 20th century was seen as the american birthright."
associated press 4-1-2011

"the reality is that we are approaching a time of economic contraction. consumptive appetities that have been stoked for decades by ubiquitous advertizing messages promising 'more, faster, and bigger' will now have to be reigned in. people will not accept the message of 'less, slower' and smaller' unless they have new goals toward which to aspire."
"peak everything:waking up to the century of declines." richard heinberg. p.18

i know it's april fools day, but should the department of labor be playing fast and loose with the truth? or don't they really have a clue? bet you know what i think. so wealth and privilige may be avaricious scum, but i never have taken them for stupid...as usual they will maintain their perceived rights and prerogatives by passing the costs of the contraction down the line to the rest of us...eventually the house of cards ponzi scheme that they have constructed will fail...less poor is already the new rich...that is a trend that will continue and the rich will turn into raving fascists to maintain their grip on what levers of power remain...it is how they have always reacted to change that they cannot control...or understand for that matter...well...human ingenuity can work without wealth...the poor have always had a strong sense of community because they can only survive by mutual support...since the elites that control what's left of the economy ( oil is $108 a barrel as i write this...a little bit more and you'll see just how much this "recovery" is dependent on energy...soon the cost of moving anything will put the vise-grips on paltry "growth" they are doomed fools) are determined to impoverish as many of us as they can to remain "rich" i'd suggest it's time to cut the umbilical that connects us to consumption ( i mean the fucking media) and start forming some communities so there's a real social safety net that is indpendent of the degenerate creeps that run things...there are many more of us than them... a community independent of their needs sounds like a sterling idea to me...i don't care what you base it on as long as it is capable of recognizing that not everyone is the same ...that people have different ways of addressing universal needs...and that it tolerates the diversity that this generates...not everyone has to do things your way...teleologies, religious or secular, are designed to control people, not solve problems...learn tolerance and build inter-community support...things are alot uglier than the propagandizers will allow...don't let them confuse you.
