what's fact, what's hired bullshit?

"the u s economy added 216,000 jobs in march, the labor department said, and the unemployment rate fell another jot to 8.8 percent."

"according to labor department projections, fewer than thirteen percent of jobs to be created by 2018 will meet the economic threshold for single parents of two kids. forty-three percent of jobs will meet the threshold for two income families. in other words, most of the jobs of the future aren't likely to pay enough to offer the kind of stable,middle-class existence that for most of the 20th century was seen as the american birthright."

"the reality is that we are approaching a time of economic contraction. consumptive appetities that have been stoked for decades by ubiquitous advertizing messages promising 'more, faster, and bigger' will now have to be reigned in. people will not accept the message of 'less, slower' and smaller' unless they have new goals toward which to aspire."
"peak everything:waking up to the century of declines." richard heinberg. p.18

i know it's april fools day, but should the department of labor be playing fast and loose with the truth? or don't they really have a clue? bet you know what i think. so wealth and privilige may be avaricious scum, but i never have taken them for stupid...as usual they will maintain their perceived rights and prerogatives by passing the costs of the contraction down the line to the rest of us...eventually the house of cards ponzi scheme that they have constructed will fail...less poor is already the new rich...that is a trend that will continue and the rich will turn into raving fascists to maintain their grip on what levers of power remain...it is how they have always reacted to change that they cannot control...or understand for that matter...well...human ingenuity can work without wealth...the poor have always had a strong sense of community because they can only survive by mutual support...since the elites that control what's left of the economy ( oil is $108 a barrel as i write this...a little bit more and you'll see just how much this "recovery" is dependent on energy...soon the cost of moving anything will put the vise-grips on paltry "growth" they are doomed fools) are determined to impoverish as many of us as they can to remain "rich" i'd suggest it's time to cut the umbilical that connects us to consumption ( i mean the fucking media) and start forming some communities so there's a real social safety net that is indpendent of the degenerate creeps that run things...there are many more of us than them... a community independent of their needs sounds like a sterling idea to me...i don't care what you base it on as long as it is capable of recognizing that not everyone is the same ...that people have different ways of addressing universal needs...and that it tolerates the diversity that this generates...not everyone has to do things your way...teleologies, religious or secular, are designed to control people, not solve problems...learn tolerance and build inter-community support...things are alot uglier than the propagandizers will allow...don't let them confuse you.
